Karah: Whitewater Excitement Trip Leader

Karah was a very mature 16 year old young lady in the summer of 2001 when she joined the Whitewater Excitement Guide School.  We do not usually take anyone under 18 years of age in our Guide School, but Karah came with great references and a sister that had worked with us for a few years.  Since that first season, Karah developed into one of the finest river guides we have seen.  Finishing High School, locally in the foothills area, Karah ventured to Chico for her college, soon running the collegs's outdoor adventures program, leading rafting trips around the state. She was promoted to our river manager a few years ago and has been here ever since.  Karah likes nothing more than to be on a river plotting her course down some gnarly class 5 rapid,, or just hanging our with her Merced River or  Middle Fork American crew.  We look forward to Karah being on the rive with us this upcoming 2008 rafting season.
